The purpose of this senior role is to carry the business responsibility for a particular area by developing and managing portfolios in accordance with the relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and budgets.
A background in operating at a senior management level within an engineering, construction or maintenance environment in addition to a previous background in rail communications, signalling and/or controls is a necessary requirement. A tertiary engineering qualification may also be required. Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of rostering principles is essential to this position in addition to comprehensive knowledge of conditions of service applicable to the Train Crew.
